Judy Knudsen Brown

After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in German, I married Stewart Brown and we immediately moved to Midland, MI where he began his career with The Dow Chemical Company. We actually lived there 4 times and, in-between, we lived in Los Angeles, Detroit, Indianapolis, Washington, DC and Cleveland. After 31 years, we moved 25 years ago to Hilton Head Island, SC. 5 years ago we ditched our house and moved to an apartment 5 minutes from our old neighborhood. We love the turnkey living and the ability to lock up and go visit our kids and friends who live all over the country.
Our oldest daughter, Libby, lives in King George, VA They have 8 children!! Two of their daughters are married AND Libby is now a grandmother. The fact that she is a Nana now makes me a GREAT Nana. So that there is no confusion, the kids have decided to call me BA-Nana!! Lots of laughs over that one!! I actually got this great $10 banana costume from Amazon and wore it the first time I met our 1st great grandson, Edward!! SO fun!!

Our second daughter, Stefanie, lives in Kansas City and has 3 children. Her oldest daughter is a critical care nurse at the University of Minnesota hospital after graduating from the U's Nursing School. Another Gopher added to the family. Their son, Will, is at the University of Nebraska.

Our son, Christian, lives in The Woodlands, TX - just outside of Houston. He has 2 children still at home and a daughter at the University of Indiana.

Stew and I are busier than we ever thought we could be. Besides visiting the grands, we love to travel and keep busy here in Hilton Head volunteering in various organizations. We also like boating, biking, going to the beach AND NOT playing golf! I do love to play bridge. We are both very involved in our wonderful, historic Anglican church in Bluffton, SC.
