Marlyce Benson (Bjeldanes)

I am grieved to learn of Judy's passing. She was a lifelong and very dear friend of Marlyce (part of the posse!) since well before high school. Her quick intelligence, personal warmth, and endlessly positive spirit made it a joy to be in her orbit over the many years. My sincere condolences go out to Stu his amazing family!                                                                                                                                                                                                              Leonard Bjeldanes

I am so sorry to learn of Judy's passing.  She was so youthful and energetic whenever I was fortunate enough to see her.  My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. I am absolutely positive that she will be greatly missed from coast to coast.

I am heartbroken to learn of Judy's passing. We meet at RHS in our sophmore year and became life-long, good friends.  I always looked forward to her summer visits to Minnesota to attend her family reunions.  Could we ask for a better friend!? So much fun!  Her sincerity and uplifting spirit were a joy to everyone who knew her in life.

Judy had a magnetic personaliy.  As teenagers, I often walked her home from Nokomis Junior High stopping at Houser's Drug Store Soda Fountain for a 10 cent cherry, lime, or chocolate coke.  Judy's energy was unmatched.  My sympathy to Judy's husband, children, grand-children, extended family, and close friends from RHS. We have entered a difficult preiod in life where losihg good friends is life shattering.  My sympathy to all!

I just learned of Judy's passing and feel so sad.  The Christmas card that she and Stew sent last year was really telling about how the stroke affected her.  She had the most beautiful, kind,  spirit and I pray that her family and many friends have found peace and comfort with all the beautiful memories of her astonishing life?

I met Judy in Second Grade at Minnehaha Grade School. We hit it off right away. My birthday

is November 3rd, so our mothers would plan our birthday parties to fall a week apart from each other  so we

could invite our friends to both parties. We would often comment on that fact as we grew older and

reminisced about our childhoods.  We were in the same Brownie Troop, and we also took piano

lessions from the same lady and had our piano recitals together.

Judy was a very kind and fun person.  She was liked by many, but  when

I saw her at reunions she was always glad to see me and we had some wonderful conversations..

When I heard of her passing, I couldn't write on the "In Memory" page.. It was too emotional for me.

I felt calm enough today to put some thoughts down. My deepest sympathy to her husband Stew,

her children and her grandchildren. She was very special.

Today, Judy was laid to rest on a bluff overlooking the May River in South Carolina. My thoughts have been with Stew and the family. She was a wonderful person.  I miss her very much.

I met Judy the first day of school in first grade. By Junior high we were best of friends and stayed close through the end of college. Our lives seperated, but the love and friendship never did. "Till We Meet Again" "Thanks For The Memories", Judy. The memories keep you close.
