It is difficult to explain how the news of Jim's death has touched me. And, I believe, by the number of posts in his memory that have rapidly cropped up on this site, that he has touched many more of us than we ever realized. Jim sat across the aisle from me in homeroom for 3 years. He was a quirky guy - friendly, kind, loving, funny AND so, seemingly, grateful for any reciprocation of attention and conversation. I believe he was voted "most chatty" (or something like that) in our class yearbook. I just hope he was surrounded by those he loved in his final hours. God bless you, Jim.
Jim was a friend to everyone he met...it seemed like we all went out of our way to engage Jim in conversation. Roger Hendrickson would keep me updated on Jim's life as Roger would meet with Jim for lunch very often. Heaven has a great addition.
Jim was unique....always a breath of fresh air. A good guy! He is missed.

I remember Jim's "unique style". He always offered a big smile, a nervous comment or story and a sincere effort to connect for just a moment or longer...... His contributions and enthusiastic hard work to our class are many and commendable. He will be missed. Sincere condolences to his family. Marlyce Benson Bjeldanes
