Rufus Webster was a very talented man that I did not get to know. I did not have him as a teacher, but, I vividly remember him. He had a long and productive life that was evident by reading his obiturary. We shared something in common as we were both pep club advisors during our tenure as teachers. Being a pep club advisor kept him young and I am sure many of my classmates fondly remember him. Salute Mr. Webster! Dennis Dvorak - Class of 1961
Mr. Webster was my home room teacher. I thought the world of him. I send my condolences to his family. He was a great man, one that I have always mentioned when I spoke of my senior year.
I was in home room with Roberta Smith, sitting behind her, as I recall, We thought Mr. Webster was great and lamented that we didn't have him for any other class.
I was in Mr. Webster's homeroom as well. I remember how much we all liked and respected him. I remember the time when we found out it was his birthday - we surprised him by gathering outside his home and singing the birthday song at the top of our lungs. My sympathy goes out to his family.
I was sad to hear of Mr Webster's passing.I remember him as one of those teachers who treated everyone equally and respectfully. Rest in peace, Mr Webster.
