I am another of the Keewaydin school group. I played football, hockey, baseball and many other sports down in the sunken playground. Harold was a part of many of them, especially hockey. During the last few years, we had lunches together and I visited him many times in the different housing situations.  We always had laughs, good talks about our faith in Jesus and always a time of prayer together. Needless to say I will miss him, but he is now with the Lord. I met Roger’s three children at my last visit, just five days before he died. May God’s grace and peace be given to Marlys and the whole family.  Isaiah 41:10

I couldn't believe it when I first read the "In Memory", another terrific guy is gone. I will miss his smile, humor and sparkle. My thoughts to his family, he was loved by many.

t So gladto see Roger have peace at last he was a wonderful person and so kind to all that knew him. Roger or Harold was one of the Keewaydin gang and we all were blessed to have the hollow to play our sports and have great park instructors. It's been a long grind and his loving family have stayed close through out his decline. His friends also some of us fromway back in kindergarten have stayed by his side. I felt we had a spiritual bond as after not seeing Roger for many years we met with our kids at an alter call on the floor of a Billy Graham Gospel meeting. Roger and Doug Kahn invited me to go to some church meeting and soon after started a Bible study for all us street guys and it is flourishing today. Roger taught us about being kind and loving and we all loved him.

Roger and I met in high school and became great friends. Roger had a lot of great friends. He loved sports and any kind of dog especially my Lab puppy Tar. We lost touch after a few years like a lot of us did a few years after high school. We reconnected after several years when my wife Mary and I met "Harold" and his wife Marlys at our neighborhood church. We have been close ever sense. Then Harold got sick. Several of us old friends visited him on a regularly over the past couple of years or so. Some of us saw him a few days before he passed. He still managed a smile about old memories of fun times. It was still sad to see him that sick. He was one of the kindest and most selfless people I have ever met. He is now at pease with our Father in Heaven

I didn/t know Roger well, but it warms my heart to see all the heartfelt comments of those who did know him well.  I am also impressed by the number of people he may have drawn to a closer walk with Jesus in his life.  I am sure he is whole and thriving in heaven now as I write this post.  My condolences to his family and loved ones.  May warm and good memories heal your hearts

There was no one more fun than Harold. I remember the night we tore the door of his dad's car off on a double date to the hours at Keewaydin. Only one Harold there ever was. One of the great memories/people in my life.
