Gary was a lifelong friend from grade school to the present. We spent countless hours at Keeywadin field playing baseball, softball, volleyball, hockey, and any other sport you may think of. He was always one of the best at everything and was a natural leader. I'll miss his great smile and special  sense of humor. My condolences to all his friends and family. He will be missed.

I too am very saddened to hear of Gary's passing.  Our Roosevelt class of 61 was very special and Gary contributed so much to our class especially in the sports area.  My thoughts are with his family and all our classmates in losing another Teddie!  Maggie

Like Ron Gary and many Teddies grew up around Keewaydin. Gary was a superior athlete from when we were young. As a teammate he was a great competitor. He also was  spiritual and compassionate we planned on playing some golf this summer. Deepest Sympathy to Jeannie and family.

I have seen and spoke to Gary several times at R.H.S. functions. Gary and I both married gals from R.H.S. Class Of 1960. Gary was always very friendly and kind to me. I also remember that he was a Tremendous Athlete. I am very sorry for his family of his passing.

In 1961 Gary and I shared a secret...Smoking was fobidden, but no one said anything about chewing tobacco. I told Gary that "real ballplayers" chewed Beechnut and we should try it. We did.... I woud stand at shortstop and spit to him at catcher, and he would return the favor...No one knew, until he got hit with a foul ball, swallowed the whole wad, and then tried to spit it out on home plate....Coach Bob Johnson wasn't too impressed with our new found status, but never said a word when we came off the field... Yes, that was last time either of us chewed....Rest in Peace old buddy....

So sorry to hear about Gary.  Our prayers are with his wife and family.  I was in football with Gary and other sports and he was a very good athlete.  I remember we won the B squad Twin HS championship as freshmen and I blocked for him as he scored our touchdowns.  The next year we moved onto the varsity team and we did very good as well.  Chuck Ramberg
