I felt fortunate to be considered one of Duane's friends, but I  guess anyone whoever met Duane was his friend. Of all the smiles and laughter  never to be forgotten, that would be Duane Christopherson's!  Dear Judy I am happy that you two chose each other. All of our lives are memories, and I know you cling to all of the good ones. God bless you Judy.                                                 Larry Sondrall

Judy,

I am so sorry about Duane.  He was really a great friend to me in Junior High and High School.  He always had such a beautiful smile.  It was so fun to catch up with your two at the 50th reunion.  It was there he told me about his Parkinson.  I will never forget him or you.  If you ever need help in some way, please let me know.    RIP buddy.  Love to you and your family, Judy.

Sandy

I was so sorry to see the posting of our loss of Duane.  My memories are also of a really nice guy, with a really great smile and someone you could really count on !  Blessings to your family; take care of yourselves.  I also was part of the Keewaydin gang and memories of skating every winter or watching the guys play hockey!  We were so lucky to grow up then!

The first time I met Duane it was my first day at Nokomis and I knew he was a great guy, funny, caring and what a smile. All through school it was laughs and jokes every time we saw each other, yet he could be serious too. I'm blessed to have known him. He was special, he will be missed. My thoughts go to you Judy and your family. I know he left you great memories.

I was so saddened to hear of Duane's passing.  My sincere, heartfelt condolences to Judy and her family.  Duane was devoted to Judy and their children and they were the top priority in his life.

Thinking back to our Keewaydin/Nokomis days, Duane was my date to the 8th grade dance (tie, sportcoat, wrist corsage, fluffy dress).  We had such fun in the winter skating, skiing, sliding--summers we all hung out at Nokomis.

Much later, Duane shared medical procedures due to the Parkinson's affecting his eyes but he would stay positive saying "there are others who are worse off than I am".  We kept in touch over the years with e-mails about our families and friends, the reunions etc. It's hard to say a final good-bye to a dear friend.  I am so thankful for his friendship.  Once again my deepest sympathy to Judy and your family.  May wonderful memories help to heal your loss.   Sincerely, Marlyce Benson Bjeldanes

Duane was also a good friend of mine. In 3rd grade we moved into a house across the street from Duane, So the almost daily routine was me, walking across the street and up the MANY stairs to his house.  He would join me and we would walk down the alley and cut across the yard of Larry and Steve Price and there we were at Keewaydin for school and many sports teams. He also was a friend through Nokomis Jr,. High and Roosevelt High School. He will be missed.  Grace and Peace to his wife and family.

So sorry to hear about Duane.  A wonderful guy.  I wish his family the very best and I thank God for the privilege of having known him in this life.  So many many memories at the skating rink and elsewhere.
