SHARON SALIE CARLTON

I went to work for Sears on Lake Street right before the start of our Jr. year. After graduation was promoted to full time, in the accounting dept. Was promoted to many different positions, and also stores. Spent 4 years traveling for them doing new store openings, best 4 years of my career. Retired from Sears Ridgedale, 1993 in store Mgt. Went to work for the State of MN as a project specialist at the MN Veterans Home Mpls campus. Loved it. Had volunteered at both the VAMC and Veterans home for over 30 years before going to work there.
During this time I bought a home in Florida, and after 6 years, on a cold and stormy day, I gave my notice and soon moved to Florida. I do miss MN but not during the winter time. My husband was an Army Paratrooper, and was always involved with Veterans organizations, so ofcourse was I. VFW, Am Legion, Cooties, DAVA and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. I was the National President for the LAMOPH in 1985 continue my volunteer work with the Veterans and enjoy it very much.
Went back to work in Florida 4 years ago, run the office for a small pest control company in Ft Pierce, FL enjoy what I do, very different working for a small company, when my entire working life was spent with massive companies, so now I can be my bossy self.
I have put on 3 mimi reunions here in Florida, for members of the class of RHS "61 who live in Florida, or winter here or just want to come on down. We have a great time, some stay at my house for several days, the most fun, is that many of us had no contact with each other while in school, and now we are fast friends, and visit often. I cannot express to you how wonderful this is. It was like meeting new people all over again, and we all had the same focal point ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL. The last one I did had a 50th motif as I was unable to go to MN for it, so in Jan of 2012 quite a number of us got together, now I am planning another for Feb 2014 the faces change each time, more come and some cannot make it, the saddest part is we have lost several of those who came to the first one, It is that time of our life when sad as it is, many have left us. Looking forward to the next adventure :)
